On the second day of Christmas… I share with you a tree!

My mom had this brilliant idea of doing a chef-themed tree for the kitchen island.  AND I LOVE IT! We stuck mainly with German chef ornaments… made either by Ulbricht or Steinbach. I’m sure you’ve seen some of these cute little wooden ornaments on your shopping adventures at Homegoods or Tuesday Mornings!

Underneath the tree sits some chef nutcrackers and smokers!

I especially love the tiny pig chef above.. he’s actually a smoker and when you use him the smoke puffs out of his nose!

Some of my favorites ornaments include the mouse chef, who I’ve named Remy, after the tiny mouse in the Disney movie Ratatouille.

It makes cooking in the kitchen super fun, you can look up and see all of the cute ornaments!

A closer look at some of the ornaments… a pig chef, a Thanksgiving chef, a heart chef, and a mini wooden gingerbread cookie!

I don’t have a tree topper… I had put a chef hat on the tree but didn’t like how it looked.  Guess I’ll have to keep shopping…

I like the natural wooden ornament below and the red gingerbread house too!

Initially we were going to mix up the ornaments with food themed… but then when we got all of these chefs on the tree we thought, oh! We’re sticking with the chefs.  I *may* have hidden a cute little pink macaron ornament in the tree. I saw it and couldn’t help myself.

Steinbach and Ulbricht Ornament Tree

I had never done any themed trees before, but my Mother-in-Law has all of these cute themed trees all over her house and I just loved it… so the chef tree was born!  Plus, it’s an excuse to put up more Christmas trees. This year I have FOUR. I’ll be sharing them with you one by one…

Your kitchen tree is adorable. I've always thought it would be fun to do a themed tree for the kitchen, but we don't have the counter space for one. Thanks for sharing your charming tree. The ornaments are so detailed.

Love that little chef tree. I've seen many kitchen themed trees but never a chef one — how clever and I love those German ornaments. I bought a few myself. As to the needlepoint kits, they are no longer made by that company. I think there is another company that makes similar kits (based on a William Morris design). Google and see what you can find or troll eBay. (Which I did see a chair seat done in the fox — all done too!)

I haven't seen a chef themed one either… Also had no idea there were so many different versions of chefs made by the German companies. I will search around for a similar kit!

The kitchen tree is decorated so festive. It will certainly be a point of conversation as all the ornaments are admired. The nutcrackers are stunning.

    Hello Angelina,

Your chef tree is adorable. What a cute idea for the kitchen. I have never seen these chef ornaments at Home Goods before but I am definitely keeping my eyes open. You have a very nice collection. They are little works of art. I love Remy and the piggy.

    Have a lovely week,

    Janet

What a lovely kitchen Christmas tree. Over the past few years I started collecting the Steinbach ornaments as well. I love the idea of putting them on a little tree in the kitchen. Such a beautiful idea!
