Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring 2017 – Five on Friday

This past week was Haute Couture Fashion week in Paris!  For this week’s Five on Friday, I am featuring my five favorite designers from this season’s haute couture fashion week!

Oh, be warned, this post will take time to load as there are LOTS of pictures and eye candy!

Chanel

Every year, Chanel is always my favorite.

Now, I just want to say, I love this fufu pink dress below. Imagine how many *hours* were spent making all of those ruffles? Also, did you know the model is the daughter of Johnny Depp/Vanessa Paradis? It seems the children of celebrities are all getting modeling gigs.

Well, I have to say I have never seen so many grim-faced young women in one place as in these photos! Must be the style these days to look exceedingly glum to be wearing these haute couture garments. Sorry, but I think their expressions, or lack of, are very off-putting and don't compliment the designs at all. As for the garments, I favor Dior. Chanel has some nice pieces, also.
But, please, can't the girls soften their looks a little??

oh I agree, I just wish they would smile as it would brighten the looks, but it seems they are all supposed to be stoic because we are to look at the fashions and not at them!
