What is Cerused Oak?

It is a special technique of applying essentially a lime-wash onto quarter swan oak cabinets.  It is an old French technique – which is why I think I like it!

As you can imagine, cerused oak is very expensive. First you have quarter sawn oak (expensive) + then lime wash it (expensive) = $$$
