Recently I became obsessed with organizing my pantry. We moved into our house over a year ago, but the pantry was never super organized. I had baskets in it like below but that was it.

Then, with work being so chaotic, I would come home and see chaos in the pantry. I decided I needed to control the chaos that I could, and so I went on a cleaning and organization binge.

I studied beautiful pantries, like ones from The Home Edit. Below is a corner in Khloe Kardashian’s pantry, organized by The Home Edit. I love how organized it is!

Inspired, I headed to the Container Store. I thought I’d mention, this is not a sponsored post. They were having a 25% off sale for these containers. I went to town and bought a ton. As you can see, we love cereal. The containers keep the cereal fresh for a long time! The cereal containers are my favorite.

Pro Tip – Buy more containers than you need in all different sizes, and figure out what works for you. Keep your receipt, and then return the ones you don’t use!

Pro Tip – Not everything needs a container. The containers are not exactly cheap. Some things can stay in their own container, such as the mixed nuts from Costco.

Pro Tip – Use baskets to hold loose items – like bags of chips. Above, the basket holds assorted salad toppers and shaved/chopped nuts.
Now, not all of my containers are located in the pantry. In the kitchen, I have deep drawers that we designed to be deep enough to hold flour. Below you can see our flour/sugar drawer.

To take your organization to the next level, add labels! Now, I had wanted to purchase labels from The Home Edit, however for the longest time they were unavailable (I see today that they are now available, however they are $3 each!)

Pro Tip – Make your own printable labels!
To make my DIY printable pantry labels, I used this clear printable sticker paper. It comes in a set of 8 sheets. I just picked a font I wanted to use, typed up a list, and hit print! Then I cut all the labels out and stuck them on. Easy and way cheaper than $3/label. You could always just hand write on the containers with a Sharpie, but my writing is not neat!

Hope you were inspired by my pantry organization. The containers I used were Oxo. I recommend starting with this set as it has all different sizes. If you join The Container Store’s member program, you get a coupon that I think it was %15 off! The baskets I used were purchased from Pier 1 and Ikea a long time ago.
