Well, it seems it is halfway through Spring and I am just now posting my Spring home tour!

Above a Louis chair covered in blue velvet with beautiful orange ranunculus!

On the front porch is this fun vintage English market basket!

A beautiful blue hydrangea adds a pop of color!

On the other side of the porch, a cymbidium orchid is blooming in the blue Madeliene Anduze pot.

When you walk inside you see the dining table!

I just love the color combos here! You can see the full Spring table post here.

I had just cut some ranunuculus from my garden and they are resting in the French market basket.

Here’s a peek at our Spring master bedroom.

Perhaps it was the only day the bed was made… haha.

Never showed on the blog before but I just love my collection of purple transfer ware!

I had fun moving my pitcher around and taking pictures!

 I love these ranunculus!

I also love this French chair!

Doesn’t the orange look good against the velvet?

Decided to move these ranunculus to a table!

One of my favorite things to do is to ride my bike!

Last Christmas my MIL got me these baskets for my bike and I love them!!!

The baskets are perfect for picking flowers!

The citrus trees are all blooming and it smells so good!

Orange Blossoms are my favorite scent (hence the blog name!)

Chloe wanted the window open to smell the orange blossoms too!

I took these pics a little while ago, but time got away from me.  I had decreased my number of posts per week so this got pushed back!

The beautiful centerpiece may be wilted by now, but the citrus trees are still blooming…

Vintage Ring Boxes

Recently found the maker of these beautiful vintage inspired velvet ring boxes.

They are from The Mrs. Box.

They are so pretty, I want to order one but I don’t know which color to choose!

There are so many pretty colors!

 Which color would YOU choose??

PS This is not a paid advertisement – I just kind of love them!

 Maui Trip

Sharing a few highlights from vacation…

We went snorkeling several times. We spotted quite a few turtles!  I just love swimming with the turtles… they are so graceful in the water!

 Tons of fish!

We spotted Gill (from Finding Nemo, aka a Moorish Idol) which is below! We also saw a pufferfish, Dory fish (aka blue tang), the humu humu fish.. and more.

Loved all of the fresh pineapple and papaya… sooooo good! The juice is guava- I never drink juice, except in Hawaii.

These flowers were in the hotel and I thought they were so cool… reminded me of beehives!

I shared a few other pictures from my trip on Instagram.

MET Costume Gala

The MET Costume Gala was this past week.  Some people actually came dressed for the theme (I won’t need to point them out – it should be quite obvious that they went for the costume as it is considered a costume gala) and others went for pretty.

The question is – would you show up following the theme and wear a costume, or opt just to look pretty?

Me… a costume!

Choosing Paint colors

This week I’ve been studying paint colors LIKE MAAAAD.

Oh my gosh my head is spinning.

The main contenders for the kitchen cabinets ARE *drumroll*

BM 1563 Quiet Moments

SW 6204 Sea Salt

 SW 6162 Ancient Marble

Odd the ancient marble on the screen looks super brown but in person it is really a lighter version of French grey.

I was shadowbanned this week. I’ll return on Saturday (tomorrow) when hopefully my little ban is lifted. Don’t know what shadowbanning is? Check out The Design Twins’ post here.

In this post – 9 Cinco De Mayo party recipes and decor ideas!

Cinco de Mayo is this Friday and I’ve rounded up some recipes and decor for you!

Let’s get this party started with some guacamole… because that is always what I make a beeline to at any Cinco de Mayo party!

I joke I’m part avocado because I eat so many of them.

This guacamole recipe from Delightful E Made blog looks so good!

A Dish of Daily Life shares this salsa verde recipe. I LOOOOVE salsa verde. Have you ever had it? It is made from tomatillos – kind of like a cousin of the tomato!

Mexican street corn is one of my favorite things to grill… check out my recipe I shared!

Okay, moving on to the main courses…

Pork carnitas burrito bowl… from a dish of daily life (again! ha!)

The Kittchen shared a chicken tortilla soup recipe.

To many, a Cinco de Mayo party is not complete without a margarita.

Homecoming Memories shared a pineapple and kiwi margarita.

Simply Darrling shared a strawberry kiwi margarita.

And now let’s look at how to decorate for our Cinco de Mayo party!

Bird’s Party shared this fun colorful table!

Smashing Plates Tablescapes shared this fiesta inspired table!

In this post – blue and white home decor picks for May

Last month I was inspired by Pantone’s Greenery, but this month I have been inspired by the color blue!

I think blue is actually the color of the year, not greenery!!

(affiliate links used for your convenience)

Outdoor patio umbrella || Cotton Tasseled throw pillow

Vintage ginger jar  || Stoneware French Coffee Press   || Ceramic ice bucket

flatware set || Capri Blue candle in “Volcano” || splatter melamine plate

Picnic Basket || Judarn mural set || Mykonos pendant light

I was thinking about getting ready for entertaining outdoors… with a picnic basket, melamine plates, ice buckets, a candle that smells like a tropical paradise, a mural that brings the outdoors in!

I have been dreaming about where I can use that pendant light above!
